Every single year I struggle with the same enemy alias Christmas shopping. Of course, I leave everything to the last minute as another billion people so when all of us “stragglers” head into the shopping centres we have no chance to move there. In addition, I usually have no clue what to buy and so it happens that after five hours of total exhaustion and squeezing in the crowd I leave the shopping centre with bag full of things for myself (cause I always find something for myself what I necessarily need while browsing the shops). So then I have to undergo more trips like this and December is not a month of peace but rather a period of huge stress. And because the older I get, the more wiser I am, I decided to create a plan how to survive Christmas shopping. And I will tell you that plan right now so we’ll all be super calm, cool and we will have plenty of time for baking Christmas cookies and do other Christmas duties.

November is over, I don’t even know how, so it’s right and proper to summarise my favourite for the past month. The weather was gloomy, I can’t slowly remember how the sun looks like and an umbrella became my staunchest ally. Despite that, there were also some bright moments with my “favourites” which I fully enjoyed. This time the list is not just all about the make-up but also other things which lighted my mood.

Dear Santa, I don’t want to stress you out too much so I’m writing in advance, hope one month is enough for you to get all the important. I’ve been really good and hardworking girl this year. I got up early every day, went to work, cooked, while responsibly focused on school, helped the weaker and also those stronger ones, took care of my loved ones, gave out love and secretly hoped that you watch everything. Therefore, I dare to be a little less modest and a little more cheeky and write a list of gifts which I desire with all my heart! Except of course the world peace, kids who doesn’t suffer with hunger, rescuing endangered animal species and so forth and so forth… So Santa, if you want me to be so great as this year, try to bring me something from my list under the Christmas tree and motivate me for next year cause I’m out of breath lately… And my dear family members who are watching me here, try to arrange this with him so there will be no mistake. With love your good Alexandra! P.S. In case you have some problems with your eyesight, here…

What a great start to a new week! I don’t even remember the last time I was so sick. This is so when you take care of your loved one and in two days you are attacked by the flu too. I just hope we won’t be in this circle forever, taking care, having flu and again and again… So my plans are moving for an indefinite period, my program for now is making a home made ginger tea (which is a true life safer for sore throat), watching movies and sweating in sheets. Hope you will avoid that autumn flu, listen to your body and when it says it needs a rest, give it to him and do not ignore all its desperate calls. Hopefully soon with proper article!

Today such a slightly random post. After spending a wonderful weekend at home with my parents it’s time to go back to normal. Sometimes the return to working days could be quite hard so it’s important to make it nice right from the morning so a big cup of freshly roasted coffee is a must. I looked into my diary and this week looks pretty busy, I enrolled in some workshops about future carrier (so two full days of lectures), on Thursday I’m about to go to Designblok so hopefully it works out and on top of that I really have to move on with my Thesis! And immediately from the morning it’s more than satisfying to tick stuffs from my to do list. The first thing, burgundy lips – checked!

After a year abroad I’m going back to Uni. It should by my last year as a student before I fully enter the world of “adults”. Many of you will go to the Uni for the first time so here I have some tips on how to make it easier. I remember my first months when I carried 10 kilos heavy bag (five years ago laptops weighted something…), all the collections of law, workbooks for each subjects separately, millions of pens spilled on the bottom of my bag, a lot of coins which I used for buying drinks from machines (read Coca-Cola)… I wish I knew I can do it differently.

Let me tell you, writing a blog without internet connection is not funny at all. It’s been a week since I moved back to the Czech Republic and from that moment I’ve been constantly on the move. All my activities were shrunk into visiting home decor shops, Ikea and cleaning up ( I’ve been unpacking, mopping, unpacking, vacuuming for a week in a row). I’m not complaining, just the internet could be finally connected. Home design is one of the things I do really enjoy and I like browsing websites and posts with that kind of orientation. Finally I got to the cafe with wifi so today only brief article with a few pictures which inspire me and help me to choose the right home accessories and furniture in these “difficult” days. I’m planning to write a post with a little bit if DIY and some pieces from our new home, so next time!
